As independent college advisors, we're an objective resource for students and their families. We are not paid to promote, nor do we receive any compensation or fees from any college, university, high school, lending institution, financial planner, or organization. Simply put, we represent the organizations and families who contract with us. We continually update ourselves by attending seminars, workshops, touring colleges, and keeping up to date on changes by attending meetings with other college advisors and college admissions reps.

Realizing the need for local students to gain a better understanding of the college selection and admission process, Sue started Pathways to Success in 2004. Sue has extensive business experience including over ten years working for Fortune 100 companies and two Masters Degrees - one in Counseling & Guidance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University. She has completed additional training with the completion of a specialized certificate program in College Advising from the University of California – San Diego (UCSD). Sue is a member of local and national groups of college advisors and college admissions representatives and has worked at a large public high school as a College and Career Specialist helping students from all socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds. She is a devoted volunteer in the community and has taught college advising workshops at non-profits and at the community college level. She has experience and expertise working with students from all academic and socioeconomic levels including underrepresented groups and students who are the first generation in their families to attend college.
